Super Vettel on pole again in Singapore

Sebastian Vettel takes pole position again with a magnificent lap in Singapore.

11 pole positions this season now, and Sebastian Vettel will be very pleased with this one. Leading a Red Bull front low lock out, he beat his team mate Mark Webber by four tenths of a second. Jenson Button is 3rd, beating Lewis Hamilton, who waas fourth. Ferrari were disappointing, despite both drivers extracting maximum from the car, with Alonso fifth and Massa sixth. Nico Rosberg lines up 7th, while Michael Schumacher, Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta round off the top ten.

The main story from the rest of qualifying was a crash for Kamui Kobayashi in Q2, flying over the second kerb at the chicane before smashing into the wall. He hadn't set a time at that point, and lines up 17th. Paul di Resta and Sergio Perez exchanged places in Q2 many times, but in the end, it was the Scot who got into Q3, Perez lining up 11th.

Vitaly Petrov was the surprise drop out in Q1, while Heikki Kovalainen once again beat Jarno Trulli, and Timo Glock and Daniel Ricciardo beat their team mates.
